I can't wait. In the meantime, I'll be working on the RPS and guaranteeing my soul a ringside seat in Hell. I'd be worried, if I had a soul.

back, and with a vengeance
OK. So.
linaelyn is making me write sick, sick, bad, and wrong RPS. Now, because I have a challenge, so do you. You may remember this post from a couple weeks ago.
hazelhawthorne suggested I issue a Bad Line Fix-it Challenge to assuage the pain. So. I HEREBY CHALLENGE YOU!!! The bad line is: He tapped the table with the fingers of his left hand. Read the post to see why this is, indeed, a Bad Line. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write a ficlet/drabble/200-page epic that contains the line in a way that actually makes sense. Feel free to post it here, or post a link.
I can't wait. In the meantime, I'll be working on the RPS and guaranteeing my soul a ringside seat in Hell. I'd be worried, if I had a soul.

The painted whores that sat across from him tittered with forced delight, wondering when the old bastard would shut his mouth and show his purse. The mutated devil only smiled cheerfully and took another swig of his ale.
Perhaps in his younger days he may have been handsome. Those mutton chop sideburns of his may have suited a face with tighter jowels, and his broad chest and heavy arms may have once made him look like a muscle bound threat to a waffish woman or a drunken ruffian. But he was old now. Well, old as far as sea dog years go.
The pretty redhead on his left preened nonchalontly, and were it not for her missing front teeth, Gibbs thought he would like to have her most.
Setting his mug down, he continued his tall tales. "Have I told ye ladies that I once sailed with the infamous Jack Sparrow?"
Frustrated, the harlots rolled their eyes. Too many stories and not enough coin in their pockets. Two of the, stood up and walked away from the table, hoping they could find more desperate company with smaller mouths. And left alone with the redhead, Gibbs sighed dissapointedly and looked down at the bottom of his cup.
"I would like to hear of this Jack Sparrow," the redhead said softly, putting a delicate hand on his arm.
"Would ye now?"
The redhead beamed a gape toothed smile and Gibbs thought she looked surprisingly beautiful.
"Well then. Jack Sparrow was the luckiest sea sog I ever did meet. He had wild black hair and dark rims around his eyes, and was quick as a fox in the mind. He..."
Hope it didn't suck. ;P

"All right! I won't steal any more of your pretty boats ever again. Now please bugger me?"
James smiled and moved his left hand from the table to the pirate's arse and started preparing him for the requested act of sodomy. He licked his lips.

Bo'sun always enjoyed a good session of "information extraction", as Captain Barbossa liked to call it. Reaching beneath the table, Bo'sun lifted out a small strongbox, made of thick ironwood planking and wrapped in metal bands.
He jangled the keys at his waist, inserted one in the enormous padlock on the strongbox, and flashed his teeth at his victim. The Spaniard before him looked strong and hostile. It would probably take him a long time to break.
Bo'sun turned the hasp in the lock, and lifted the lid. The stench of rotting human flesh filled the air.
The Spanish captive's eyes flew wide when he saw the contents of the box.
Hands.
Human hands, severed at the wrist. Dozens of them. Nearly all of them right hands, but on the very top, a single left hand, adorned with jeweled rings.
Bo'sun drew out the one on top, and said, "This one is my favorite. It's my only left hand of all the hands I've taken over the years. I like to bring it out and make it dance." He tapped the table with the fingers of his left hand. "Dance, pretty hand. Dance!"
"Madre de Dios!" exclaimed the Spaniard, "I will tell you! I will tell you!"
"I know you will." Bo'sun smiled indulgently. "But I want you to put it in writing." He gestured towards the paper and inkwell at the right.
"Whatever you like. I will do as you ask..." The Spaniard reached for the fluttering quill, grabbing it in his left hand and beginning to draw the locations of the various troop and ship placements guarding San Juan.
He didn't see the glitter in Bo'sun's eye. Another left hand...
